The new nVIDIA [sic] RTX Voice works just fine without an RTX GPU and on windows 7 too, tested and working on a GTX 1080 and a Titan V, here's how to make it install...

It turns out that the impressive background noise suppression of Nvidia's RTX Voice doesn't required RT or Tensor Core hardware to function. There is a fallback to CUDA core execution included and this has opened up it's use on Nvidia hardware going back to Fermi.

Guru3D forums has a guide of how to modify the RTX Voice installer to do this, as well as hosting a pre-modified install file. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nv...es-how.431781/

I've tested this on my GTX 980 and it works with negligible GPU usage (1-2%) and a small increase in VRAM usage (300MB) with input and output processed. I'm personally interested to see if this could be ported to AMD GPUs through the use of ROCm that allows non-Nvidia cards to execute CUDA code.
